Operation Christmas Child
It is time to be thinking about Chirstmas. The best days of fall are still to come, and that December 25th seems a long way off, but preparations for Operation Christmas Child have already begun. Fresh Wind will once again be putting together shoe boxes that need to be packed and shipped-out before Thanksgiving. Check the Our She Box Ministry pages under the Ministries section of our webste for specifics.

Men at Camp Barakel
Pastor Tim is going to Camp Barakel on October 22nd - 24th where Tom Harmon will be speaking. Men interested in going, check-out the information at Camp Barakel. When you register, sign up as "Providence" for the church. The camp is in central Michigan about a six hour drive from Lorain. Check it out or ask Pastor Tim for details. 

Small Groups Restarting for Fall
The summer will soon be gone, school will be starting again, and so will Fresh Wind's small groups. The fall term will be starting soon. As things go, the fall will be a great time to join and participate! Groups will be meeting at several homes located throughout our community. Check the Small Groups page for information on each of the groups including the meeting times and other details. Consider joining and participating for fellowship and study. 

Media Club Selection
The September selection for discussion is This Present Darkness by Frank E. Peretti. Information on the book is available (along with other past titles) on the Media Club page.  Fresh Wind gathers as a church for a light meal and discussion approximately once a month. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come, even if circumstances have prevented you from being able to read the book in advance. The discussion and fellowship is worthwhile and rewarding. The next Media Club meeting date is Wednesday, September 15th.

Read Through the Bible in 2010
Remember, it is not too late to start, and there is always time to resume, reading with us. The bible reading schedule contains daily verses selected from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms,and Proverbs. Go to the page titled One Year Bible in the Calendar section of the website for more information. Social media users can follow right from their Facebook account as well.

Prayer Team Update
Kathy Ulicki is the leader of the Fresh Wind Prayer Team. If you have a prayer request, or question about joining the prayer group, contact Kathy at prayer@afreshwind.org. Also please note, the Prayer Team no longer meets every Wednesday night at the church - only as scheduled by Kathy. As such, contact her before coming to church to pray with the group.
